Naz Choudhury is a British Bollywood Dance Specialist,[1] show producer and artistic director[2] from East London.[3] His most notable achievements came after his appearance on Dragons' Den in 2010, at the age of 26. In 2011 he took his dance company Bolly Flex [4] on Sky 1’s Got To Dance receiving standing ovations [5]! and gold stars [6] from all the critics, than went on to take Bolly Flex [7] on tour [8] across the UK [9] and Europe [10] and also became the first Bollywood dance company to play the Royal Opera House,[11] in 2012 he went on to direct and produce the Dhamaka Bollywood Concert [12] with Flex FX Production featuring Atif Aslam [13] performing live with Bollywood dancers Bolly Flex.[14] Than in 2013 he created Bollywood Showstoppers [15] with Bipasha Basu,[16] Atif Aslam,[17] Malaika Arora Khan, Shaan and Bolly Flex [18] which took place at The O2 Arena London and the LG Arena (Birmingham) in April 2013, which was attended by over 18,000 people.[19] He has currently announced Dhamaka 2013 [20] at London’s Wembley Arena with Mika Singh [21] making his debut to the UK supported by Shafqat Amanat Ali [22] coming live this June 2013. He is the first Bangladeshi promoter to produce a show at The O2 Arena and at the age of 28 and now 2 years in a row, he is also one of the youngest producers to create a spectacular at The O2 Arena. He previously created sold out touring musical dance shows such as Essence - The Bollywood Dance Spectacular and the Annual Britz Dhamaka concerts at The Royal Albert Hall,[23] Hackney Empire and Alexandra theatre.[24] He started his dance career in 1997.

Career[edit | edit source]

Founded Flex FX in 2003, in 2006 he was commissioned by the European Union as part of a project called 'The Last Mile'[25] created by Tribal Education, to create and produce a project for Bollywood and Asian talent in the UK. In August of the same year Naz Choudhury supplied The Trafalgar Square Festival[26] with Reflex Dance Company, which provided entertainment for more than 10,000 people. The incredibly popular show ran for three weeks, and became a must see. He then went on to produce Dhamaka[27] on 14 April 2007 featuring Atif Aslam alongside Jay Sean & Rishi Rich at Royal Albert Hall with his dance company Bolly Flex at the age of 23. Naz Choudhury & his dance team have also performed Some of the biggest Bollywood events, concerts and exhibitions in the UK and worked with various Bollywood stars at shows such as Zee Carnival, Commonwealth Games Handover Ceremony in Glasgow and many more. One of his highlights was the Oslo world music festival 2011[28] where he was highly commended by Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, according to DesiMag'[29]

Celebrating his 10th year legacy & Bollywood Showstoppers (2013)[edit | edit source]

This 2013, Naz Choudhury produced Bollywood Showstoppers and return to The O2 Arena in London and debut the LG Arena in Birmingham. This show featured the likes of Bipasha Basu and Malaika Arora Khan Performing live with his dance company Bolly Flex. Atif Aslam and Shaan featured in the celebration of the 10th anniversary of his Flex FX legacy in Bollywood Showstoppers.[30] Over 18,000 people attended the full house Bollywood touring production in London and Brimingham [31]

Trafalgor Square Festival & Flex FX Tour (2006 - 2009)[edit | edit source]

Following continued effort to promote his brand at various dance events around London's dance and club communities he got his first major break came in 2006 when he was commissioned by the European Union as part of a project called 'The Last Mile' created by Tribal Education, to create and produce a project to highlight Asian talent and Bollywood art in the UK. In August of the same year Naz Choudhury supplied The Trafalgar Square Festival with a new act - Flex FX Dance Company.

The Birth of Flex FX & Dhamaka (2003-2005)[edit | edit source]

After launching his company Flex FX, early ventures included the launch of their signature brand Dhamaka, which made its debut at The Logan Hall in 2004[32] and was headlined by UK-Asian artist Raghav.
